June Roundup

There is nothing better than summer days in Screven County!

This past month, Screven County was roaring with community opportunities! The Screven County Chamber of Commerce kicked off June by presenting Dino Day on June 1, inviting our local businesses to join in on a prehistoric adventure. Six dinosaur eggs were hidden throughout town at participating businesses, encouraging children and their families to explore Screven County, hunt for the eggs, and enjoy fun activities at each stop. It was a dino-mite way to spend the day while supporting our local businesses!

To celebrate National Donut Day, we had the pleasure of delivering sweet treats to many of our Chamber Members! Nothing says "happy donut day!" quite like a fresh donut from Chamber Members Mama Jen's Bakery & Eatery and Little Dipper Coffee & Ice Cream. Thank you both for helping us spread a little joy throughout our business community!

One of our favorite summer traditions returned with Picnic in the Park, bringing neighbors, families, and friends together for an afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun. Community members enjoyed time outdoors in our beautiful Downtown Sylvania while supporting local food and drink vendors and making precious memories together. A special thank you to Chamber Members Little Dipper Coffee & Ice Cream, Mama Jen's Bakery & Eatery, and The Squeeze Squad for helping make the afternoon a success. Events like these remind us that some of the best memories are made right here at home in Screven County.

One of our biggest events of the year continues to grow bigger and better! On June 28, the Screven County Chamber of Commerce hosted Red, White, and Boom at the Screven County Recreation Department. Vendors, food trucks, and community organizations came together to celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary with an evening full of family fun. From games and competitions to live music, cannons, and a spectacular fireworks show, there was never a dull moment. It was incredible to see our community come together to celebrate, connect, and make lasting memories.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, performed, and participated in making these events such a tremendous success. We are proud to serve a community that continually shows up to support one another, and we can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!

The Screven County Chamber of Commerce is proud to serve, support, and celebrate the businesses, organizations, and people who make our community such a special place to call home.
